Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

so last week i was chatting with some friends and we were talking about my weight loss and clothes. One of the girls i was talking with, she's VERY tiny. I mentioned that now i can shop in the juniors/misses department for clothes and they fit well. She said she can buy in the kids department. We laughed...

Yesterday i went clothes shopping, i needed a new jacket. On a whim cause of what she said we went to the actual kids department in macys. Well... guess what? lmao i can now wear kids cloths too HAHA And clothes run cheaper haha! I got a nice kids jacket for $44

It's gray plaid. There was also an ADORABLE line sweatshirt that i almost got- it's red with black skulls with bows on it and silver glitter stars. i might go back and get that next week /snicker.

Aerostatle though still has a sweatshirt i want to buy that's super snuggly.

Sweats are becoming my new best friend, lately i've been cold ALL the time so bought a sweatshirt and 2 pairs of capri sweats so i don't have to hem them. heheh. Being short sucks
